Creative solutions to promote Myanmar’s offerings globally

It is our great pleasure to announce that iD creative solutions, one of Myanmar’s leading creative agencies, has joined forces with BBC Global News to provide tailor-made campaigns to raise the profile the nation. With over two decades of experience in nation-branding and global media; iD (Image Diplomacy & iD creative solutions) is honoured to have been selected to represent BBC Global News both in Malta and Myanmar respectively.

iD, founded by Sorcha Hellyer and Gabriele Villa, has been providing its services in Myanmar since September 2012 and was instrumental in promoting the tourism sector through its first global nationbranding initiative, Let the Journey Begin, which they produced in 2013. Launched with the Office of the President and the Ministry of Hotels & Tourism at the World Economic Forum East Asia in Nay Pyi Taw, the TV commercial was first aired on BBC World News and highlighted the beautiful landscapes, cultural heritage and people of Myanmar. At the WEF the TVC was accompanied by an exhibition stand, live interviews with other media, an official WEF press conference and release, as well as a coffee table book gifted to delegates and Myanmar branded merchandising.

Since then iD has positively grown, both in terms of reputation for its ability to deliver excellence, and its range of services, providing every manner of brand strategy, brand styling, creative design and event management as well as project management. Whether through its European company or Myanmar company, iD has always been committed to bringing world class standards in creativity to the market, and to improving perceptions of Myanmar around the globe. With the onset of the pandemic, iD has seen a strong return to its roots with its media management arm. While it is still undertaking video production, animation, and graphic design work for an array of local and international clients, iD’s new agreement with BBC enables the team to explore a wide range of exciting ways to collaborate with Myanmar-based entities in order to promote the country and individual businesses in a regional and global context.

Operating in more than 200 countries and territories around the world BBC Global News has an unrivalled reputation for courageous, accurate, independent and impartial reporting, making it the perfect medium to communicate to an informed, educated and engaged audience. Given the current global crisis, it is more critical than ever to drive the narrative and this is made possible through bespoke branded content, sponsorship and advertising opportunities on the international version of the BBC.com online site and the 24-hour English language BBC World News Channel. If you are interested in knowing more or in developing a cross-platform campaign with the most trusted media in a world of fake news, please contact Gabriele and Sorcha at [email protected].
